Teaching Assistant

Bede's is an independent, co-educational School located on two stunning sites, one by the sea in Eastbourne and one in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Bede's offer education from the age of 3 months through to 18 years of age and is renowned for the level of pastoral care that it provides to the pupils.

We are looking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant to be based at the Prep School in Eastbourne. This role will support teachers in any designated year group from reception to year 8. The successful applicant will ensure that every child is able to gain the most from their education by supporting them with their learning as required. We are looking for creative candidates who will make a big impact in the life and learning environment of our pupils.

To be successful, you will have a keen interest in working with children and in supporting and developing their learning. As a member of the Teaching Assistant team, you should have good interpersonal skills, be flexible and focused on the needs and wellbeing of the child. You must be a team player with a ‘can do’ approach to work and a good sense of humour.

Hours of Work: 16.5 hours per week, term time only. When the hours are worked can be discussed at interview.
