Lavender Field School is part a rapidly growing group of independent special schools with locations in Staffordshire and Cheshire, providing exceptional, holistic care, education and therapy to children from 5 to 19 with a range of complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties and learning needs.

Due to our continued growth we are recruiting for the following positions;

Teaching Assistant:

  • Full time (35 hours per week)

  • £21,720.51 - £25,715.5 per annum, dependent on experience

  • Salary paid in 12 equal monthly payments)

  • Term time only (39 weeks a year)

We are a unique, independent all-through special needs school, catering to pupils aged 5 - 19, and we are looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant's to join our vibrant and supportive team.

Our school provides a holistic, therapeutic, child-centred education for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning plans

  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment

  • Assist with personal care and emotional regulation where needed

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social development

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally
