Shrewsbury House Pre-Prep School in Esher, Surrey is an independent day school for boys and girls aged from three to seven years. It was founded in 1912 and is part of the Shrewsbury House School Trust and is administered by a Board of Governors.  

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with, and support the existing team. We are seeking a proactive, positive person who embraces the school Values of Teamwork, Resilience, Aspiration, Care and Kindness (TRACK). 


The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant level three qualification, or be prepared to undertake this training as soon as possible, and have experience of working with children in Early Years or Key Stage 1. [Please note: candidates without this experience (or willingness to undertake the training) should not apply.]


The individual will work in partnership with the teaching team, helping support the children in their day to day activities and development, sharing our determination for every child to reach their full potential. 


The role will involve general support of the children, working with individuals or small groups, preparation of resources, and assisting with specialist subject lessons, such as Forest School, Music, P.E. and French lessons. We expect the candidate to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school. There are opportunities for involvement in our Wraparound Care provision and Holiday Clubs, which provide additional income.

This role is term time only plus 3 days before and after the term.
