Teaching Assistant to support SEND

30 hours per week, term time only

Scale 3 (£30,120 - £31,552 pro rata) 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to work with children who have high SEND in Key Stage 1 and 2. Candidates should be well-motivated and have a calm manner. The role will require candidates to deliver bespoke 1:1 support and interventions and small group support for children with complex and medical needs in our school.

Rhyl is a friendly and very supportive school with a high number of children who have complex SEND, in particular Autism. We provide training and professional development opportunities to enable support staff to fulfil their role to a very high standard.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience of working in a mainstream primary school
  • Have worked with children who have complex language and communication needs and Autism
  • Are willing to learn and implement advice and training
  • Are keen to make a difference to the most vulnerable children

The school is part of a partnership with four other schools and there may be opportunities for successful candidates to work in different partnership schools. This will be discussed at interview.
