ABC Teachers are recruiting for a full-time teaching assistant at a busy school in Northfield, Birmingham. The position will be starting in December and will continue until April 2019 (Easter half term). 

The position will be primarily working with mixed ability groups in KS1 and lower KS2 and you may also be working on 1-1 basis where required to support children with additional needs. The school has a good reputation due to the hard working and dedicated team of staff and also has strong connections in and around the local community. 

The successful candidate must be NVQ Level 3 qualified or above, in a relevant subject, and must have excellent curriculum knowledge. You will be an approachable and friendly individual who can work well as a team and liaise effectively with the relevant staff/parents/carers where required for the benefit of the children.

Please note that only candidates who are available full time will be considered. Due to the school’s location you must also have your own transport.

What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost.  At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
