We are seeking to appoint four committed Teaching Assistants (TAs) to our Learning Support department at Beaumont School. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be friendly and approachable and strive for excellence in all areas of the job.

TAs provide teaching support and assistance in lessons and during curriculum enrichment activities and so prior experience in supporting or mentoring SEN students would be an advantage.

Experience in moving / handling PNI (Physically/Neurologically Impaired) students, as well as assisting in their personal care, would also be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided, where necessary.

Beaumont is an oversubscribed, mixed comprehensive school, with Academy status, of over 1500 students, including a sixth form of 452. It enjoys an excellent reputation and achieves the very highest levels of academic success across a broad and balanced curriculum, supported by excellent pastoral care. In 2014, Ofsted found Beaumont to be an outstanding school in all categories. The school receives strong support from parents and our local community and its staff are dedicated to ensuring that students reach their full potential and to creating a vibrant and inspirational environment for learning.

The return to public exams in 2022 has provided further evidence of Beaumont’s status as a centre of excellence at both Key Stages Four and Five. At KS4, Beaumont students achieved the highest ever results in the school’s history, whether by exams or teacher assessment.

Early applications are encouraged as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate.

The school receives strong support from parents and our local community and its staff are dedicated to ensuring that students reach their full potential and to creating a vibrant and inspirational environment for learning.

We are so proud of our students who undertook public exams in 2023 and the wonderful results they achieved.  They have demonstrated great resilience to achieve outstanding grades at both A Level and GCSE, in spite of all the challenges of going through secondary education during a pandemic.

At KS4 there were hugely impressive results across the board, from the number of top grades achieved to the highest percentage of students gaining grade 4 or above in both English and Maths in the school’s history (92%). 42% of the results were at grades 9 - 7 and we achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.7.

Beaumont’s Sixth Form students did themselves proud yet again in 2023, reaping the fruits of all their hard work to gain outstanding results, including 76 A* grades at ‘A’ Level. At KS5, the A Level APS per entry was 39.8, meaning the average grade awarded was a B.  Many have won places on some of the most competitive university courses in the land, including several who are heading to Oxbridge.
