We are on the search for a highly motivated, committed Teaching Assistant to join us at The City Academy, Hackney.

The Faculty of Learning is a very well resourced department within our school and drives forward our SEND First approach to inclusive education for all. 

We are a large department with one SENCO, two deputy SENCOs, a team of twelve TAs and two administrators. This secures a wealth of support not only for the students, but for the staff of our school too.

You will be joining a well established department who works tirelessly for the progress of all students. 

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who would like to begin or further their experience working with a range of learners with SEND.

You will be working with excellent staff in this exciting and challenging post. You need to have extremely high expectations to ensure children regardless of gender, ethnicity and religion achieve to the best of their ability. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, flexible and common sense approach is important.
