Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery and work with our Key Stage 1 pupils. This is a part time, term time only role. We are looking for a teaching assistant who can work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, mornings only. You will join an excellent support department and play a key role in the development of our pupils.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for education to join our support staff. We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced teaching assistant or if you are looking to gain experience in a school before teacher training. This role would also suit someone with prior Early Years or Nursery experience looking to move into a teaching assistant role.

We would like to hear from anyone who has a drive for education and supporting children. Having experience of working in a school setting is not essential however previous Teaching Assistant experience would be looked upon favourably.

• Support our pupils both in and out of lessons. 
• Assist our pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups within the classroom environment. 
• Assist with, plan and preparing for lessons with our teacher in line with the schools curriculum.
• Maintain standards within lessons and support pupils of all ability. 
• Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety.
