Job overview
We wish to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our existing AEN Team. You will carry out a range of duties that enable students with learning needs to fully access standard and differentiated curriculum activities.
Working closely with all other members of the AEN team, you’ll promote high standards of inclusion and learning opportunities.
The role involves working closely with the Academy’s SENCO in supporting our AEN Students across the whole Academy.
We are hoping to appoint an individual who has experience:
• working with children of secondary age;
• working with ASD and other SEN; and
• delivering a differentiated curriculum in a classroom, 1 to 1 or small group setting.
As an experienced Teaching Assistant, you will be extremely well organised, IT literate and have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. It would be advantageous to be qualified to NVQ3 or equivalent and have experience of supporting students with specific needs.
The successful applicant will be joining an ambitious, committed and hardworking team who are relentless in their drive to make a genuine difference to students and prepare them with the necessary skills to be successful lifelong learners.

The role is term time only 39 weeks per year, and working 36.5 hours per week.
