Job overview
We are looking to appoint a hardworking, skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in our friendly, inclusive village school.
Your role will involve:
- working as part of a caring, committed team
- supporting groups of children or individuals with their learning needs
- assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities and interventions
- adopting a nurturing role to support children with their social and emotional needs
- general classroom support
There may also be the opportunity to supervise a whole class during the short term absence of the class teacher. A successful candidate will need to be an effective communicator, enthusiastic and proactive in their approach. You will need to liaise effectively with all colleagues, most specifically the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals. This position is initially fixed term but could lead to a permanent post for the right candidate. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS and references will be sought. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children.
