Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for our Nursery from September 2017 to join a strong team of support staff.

This post is part-time and term-time only

Little Reddings is a two-form entry primary school with nursery. We serve an ever-diversifying community in Bushey. We are part of the Bushey St James Academy Trust with Bushey Meads secondary school. We have families attending our school both from the local community and from further afield and draw children from a wide spectrum of social and economic backgrounds including social housing, a traveller site, Forces families and private housing.

The staff, Governors and children are all extremely friendly and supportive and behaviour within the school is good. The school offers great opportunities for staff development and is on an exciting journey towards excellence.

The position is for 17.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 12.00pm each day. The salary for a Teaching Assistant is between APT & C Points 9 – 14, plus London Fringe (currently £15,375 - £16,781 p.a. + £840 p.a.), paid pro rata for the hours worked, dependent on qualifications and experience. 

Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense. Experience of working with young people and the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.
