TEACHING ASSISTANT – HOSPITAL SCHOOL

       

Teaching Assistant, Full Time, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)

Pay Scale Range:         Hay Grade 5 spine point 6 to spine point 13

Salary Range:               Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Salary range £24,270 - £27,498

Salary, Pro Rata:          FTE Salary pro rata for Term Time Only (TTO) £20,891 - £23,669

Contract type:   Permanent

Hours of work 8.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m.

Based at the Bethlem Hospital, Beckenham, but must be willing to work at the school`s other site at the Maudsley Hospital in Camberwell.

 

The Maudsley and Bethlem School is an outstanding hospital school providing education for children and young people (aged 4 – 19) in hospital who are experiencing a broad range of psychological illnesses.  As TA you will be mainly working with 12 – 18 year old students. Our school helps children and young people at a difficult time in their lives. We offer a safe, welcoming place where they can:

 We require a TA who:

  • has experience of providing support to individuals and groups of young people who may experience a range of challenges to their learning;
  • has achieved or is capable of rapidly gaining HLTA status.
