You will be initially working with Year 6 for the remainder of this academic year.  You must be able to work in partnership with the class teacher to support identified pupils and groups of pupils including those with SEND.   Your role will be to manage children’s behaviour and engage with them in lessons.  You must be able to deliver and track performance of pupils in specified groups when taking intervention groups to help improve progress. This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.  Normandy Primary School therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.

Normandy Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such, all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. Normandy Primary School is committed to equality and diversity in employment practice and service delivery.

Based on the quality and quantity of applications received, Pelham Academy Trust reserves the right to close this vacancy sooner rather than the specified closing date.  Applicants will be notified of this where possible. Therefore, early applications are encouraged.
