Job overview

We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join out happy and successful independent day school.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to be part of our dynamic school community and to support the academic and pastoral provision for an Infant Form.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant childcare qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 and will offer excellent communication skills and an ability to work to targets and deadlines.  A good knowledge of the EYFS would be an advantage.

We encourage applications from colleagues in the maintained and independent sectors for a September 2017 start.

PGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all sta" to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

PGS has its own, generous salary scale and seeks to attract the best staff possible.

The vacancy is for 22.75 hours per week, term time only to include INSET days.

ISI Report 2022

During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
