We instil in our girls a lifelong love of learning as well as ensuring that they have the opportunity to develop their self-esteem and confidence, resilience and tenacity to equip them for the future. We provide an education which encourages independence and autonomy, whilst ensuring every pupil reaches their highest possible academic results in a place of discovery, creativity, fun and academic rigour. With over 140 co-curricular clubs we provide a wealth of opportunities for pupils to explore new interests and support them in ‘finding their thing’.

With a low pupil to teacher ratio, our staff pride themselves in taking the time to get to know every child. Our expert teaching and pastoral care means we focus on the individual needs of each girl to ensure that they access every opportunity available to them and find their strength and passion, be it in academics, sport, drama, music, or leadership. Staff deliver a broad and dynamic curriculum, combining traditional pedagogy with innovative methods. We focus not only on what pupils learn but also how they learn, aiming to cultivate curiosity, awe and wonder in our future leaders.

Surbiton High School has approximately 1600 pupils aged between 4 and 18. Our Preparatory Schools are divided into the Girls’ Preparatory School and Boys’ Preparatory School, and the Senior School is girls only from age 11 upwards.
