Teaching Assistant Level 1

The Governors of St. Michael’s C.E Primary School, Bodenham (part of the Bishop Antony Educational Trust) are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking teaching assistant to work alongside the teacher in Class 2 (mixed Year 1 and 2) in this friendly, Christian values-based village school. Working pattern 9am – 12pm, 5 mornings a week (Mon- Fri)

Salary: Grade HC3 scp 10 – 13 £8.09 to £8.36 per hour
Hours:15 hours per week, Term time only
Contract: Fixed Term
Required September 2017

We are looking for someone who:

• Will provide support and assistance to the teachers in the day to day teaching of Mathematics and English
• Has recent experience working in the classroom with small groups and/or individual children
• Believes in giving every child the opportunity to be the best they can be
• Is highly motivated and able to act on their own initiative
• Is able to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and will be able to communicate with and motivate young people effectively
• Is patient, good humored and flexible
• Enjoys being part of a hardworking and committed team
• Will support the school’s Christian ethos and policies
