Green Lane Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our academy in April 2026, on a part time, temporary basis.

As a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher.

Your new school
Green Lane Primary Academy is a high achieving academy with results above national attainment figures. We are a two form entry school with approximately 450 children. The Academy was judged to be an Outstanding school in November 2023 in all areas, and we have held this judgement since 2009. In 2024 we achieved our highest Year 6 SAT outcomes.
We deliver a broad and engaging curriculum which allows all pupils to achieve their best. In addition to this, we also have a high quality personal development curriculum, allowing children to develop all aspects of their character and personality, through sports, after-school clubs and curriculum enhancing opportunities such as educational visits and visitors. Green Lane Primary Academy is a successful school in the outer east side of Leeds in the community of Garforth and is part of the Delta Academies Trust family. Local Area Information and Facilities:
Garforth Green Lane Primary School is situated in a residential area of Garforth, a small commuter town on the eastern rim of the city of Leeds. Leeds is only a short drive away and has a number of cosmopolitan bars and clubs, theatres, restaurants, historical attractions, sports facilities and shopping centres. It also boasts a number of large retail outlets.
Garforth is well served by transport links:
By road: The A1 and M1 are a short drive away, and have both been linked by an extension of the M1 which passes to the West and North of the town accessed nearby at Junctions 46 and 47.
By rail: There are 2 railway stations: Garforth and East Garforth, which are both on the mainline route between Leeds, York, and North Eastern England to Scotland, and also between Leeds, Selby and Hull and the East Yorkshire coastal resorts.
