Job overview
- To work with small groups of children under the supervision of the teacher and ensure implementation of Individual Learning Plans.
- Provide regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher and keeping records up to date.
- Assist with the supervision of discreet groups of pupils for short periods when the teacher is not present.
- Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
- Participate in training, to develop relevant learning strategies and ensure students make progress in learning.
- To support the performance management process and demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
- To converse at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Prospect House is a free special primary school in Higher Blackley, North Manchester. Part of Prospere Learning Trust, the school offers places for children with very significant learning needs and other associated additional needs, aged 3 – 11 years old.
The recently purpose built site offers specialist facilities including a state-of-the-art hydropool including changing room to pool hoisting, ASC friendly classrooms and corridors, Food Technology Room, Library, Immersive Learning Room, Sensory Regulation Room, Parent Room, Pets as Therapy Dogs (Alfie and Ovie) and two KuneKune Pigs (Sebastian and Dolores).
Prospect House was graded Outstanding in all areas following the Ofsted inspection in 2023.
