Green End Primary School wishes to appoint 2 enthusiastic and highly motivated teaching assistants, for Key stage 2 on a one year temporary contract.

The role will involve supporting groups of children in class and out of class, with a strong emphasis on improving reading, writing and mathematics skills.  Candidates will need excellent literacy and numeracy skills and an assessment of these will form part of the recruitment process.

The successful candidates will have recent and relevant experience of working with children, supporting learning, in a school setting.  They will also be highly motivated, dynamic, have strong team work skills and a ‘can do’ approach to their work. They will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents.  A very strong commitment to raising aspiration and attainment in an urban setting is essential.

We have two positions available, hours will be:

TA2 Year 4 - 8.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday

TA2 Year 5 – 8.30am to 12.45pm Monday to Friday

This position is subject to 2 professional references and DBS clearance.
