Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Initially KS2

We are a rapidly improving school and we seek an innovative, passionate and inspirational teaching assistant who is committed to raising standards and the quality of learning for all pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a good understanding of supporting learners with Special Educational Needs
• Has developed knowledge of the particular needs of children with additional needs and seek advice from the SENDCo, class teacher and outside agencies as required.
• Is highly motivated, committed, caring, nurturing and shows initiative
• Is forward thinking and innovative • Has excellent team-working skills
• Is up to date with current research and practice
• Has a genuine commitment to raising standards of achievement through the development of outstanding learning opportunities
• Is driven by a passion for learning and children
• Can aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and provide modified materials as required
• Provides positive reinforcements, praise and rewards to pupils.
• Facilitates inclusion in small group activities with peers and support interaction between them.
• Is willing to attend in service training and relevant meetings relevant to the post in order to keep up to date with developments in working with children with special educational needs.
