Fix term for 1 academic year

Monday - Friday 8:30am to 3.20 pm with 50 minutes for lunch

The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust formally YHCLT is responsible for nine schools across Hull; two secondary and seven primary. Sidmouth Primary School is looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will be required to work 30 hours per week, term time only plus 2 x training days. 

The successful candidate must have an understanding of the primary curriculum and a positive approach to managing children’s behaviour. The candidate should have high expectations of the pupils and of themselves.  

We also expect candidates to have excellent communication skills as well as excellent skills in English, Maths and other curriculum areas. The candidate will be hard working, creative, enthusiastic and able to work constructively and proactively as part of a team.

Sidmouth Primary School is two-form entry split site primary school, taking pupils from 3 to 11 years of age.

It is an inner city school to the West of Kingston upon Hull and serves the Newland and surrounding area. Pupil numbers are increasing. We are fortunate to have additional teaching staff to support children with Special Educational Needs and those for whom English is an additional language. There is good liaison with all the various support agencies, School Health, Education Welfare, Social Services, Community Police, Psychological Services and Special Educational Needs Support Service.

We have good relationships with parents, children and other members of our community. The school has a reputation for being a warm, friendly, caring place and committed to providing a high quality education and caring deeply for the well-being of our children.
