The school currently has vacancies principally in its structured provision, working with pupils with Autism. Applicants would benefit from a prior knowledge of Autism and/or working with students with a range of Special Needs. Successful applicants will benefit from further training.
Wren Spinney Community School is a special school meeting the educational needs of pupils, from 11 -18 years of age, with complex needs, learning difficulties, autism,visual impairment and multi-sensory impairment. We educate pupils with the aim of developing their communication, self-help, independence and social skills.
Support for Pupils:
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behavior Plans and Personal Care programs, including toileting, washing, dressing, eating, individual feeding programs
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
