About the Support Team:
Our support team is currently made up of a team of Teaching Assistants in our Accelerated Learning Gateway, managed by our SENDCo, supported by two Assistant SENDCos. Our Teaching Assistants (TAs) work across all year groups mentoring specific students, fostering strong relationships with students and parents. Our TA’s work to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school and to put appropriate measures in place to enable all pupils to overcome barriers to learning and participation. We prioritise professional development, and have trained people within the department to be professional exams support assessors. Our collaborative approach aims to enhance SEND provision, working closely with heads of year and the inclusion team to coordinate support across the school.
