Teaching Assistant Level 2

(Permanent & temporary positions available)

We are currently looking for Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our successful Achievement Support team. We have permanent and temporary positions available, supporting the learning and wellbeing of SEND and Pupil Premium students. For this position you will need to have at least two years previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar role.

In this role you will work in conjunction with the classroom teacher and SENDCo to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students and small groups. You will take responsibility for delivering agreed learning activities, along with providing feedback to students. You will take an active role in monitoring students and contributing to review meetings with students and their parents, in conjunction with the SENDCo.

You will work 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days. 3 days will be for staff training days in September and January. The remaining 2 days will be for SEN review meetings and training and will be agreed in advance with your line manager.

A good educational background with GCSE’s at Grade 4/C (or equivalent level qualification) in Maths and English are required in this role.

Working Hours and Salary (Grade 6):

Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm (with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break)

Total: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.
