Rawmarsh Ashwood Primary School is a mixed, welcoming primary school for children aged 3-11. As part of Wickersley Partnership Trust, our school community is built around the belief that every child should feel happy, safe and excited about their learning, and be encouraged to be their very best in all that they do. At the heart of our school is the Ashwood Way, a shared set of values that promotes aspiration, respect, resilience and responsibility - helping students grow academically, socially and personally.

We offer a broad, engaging and inclusive curriculum that is thoughtfully designed to support the needs and interests of every learner. From a strong foundation in core skills like reading, writing and maths to rich experiences in the arts, sport, STEM and outdoor learning, pupils have opportunities to explore, create and collaborate. Our curriculum is regularly enriched with educational visits, specialist teaching and extra-curricular clubs, giving children memorable experiences that build confidence and deepen understanding.

Personal development and community spirit are also central to life at Ashwood. Children benefit from a progressive careers programme beginning in the early years, helping them connect learning with real-world opportunities and begin to think about their future pathways. Our pupils also take pride in making a positive contribution beyond the classroom - from long-standing partnerships with local care homes to projects that nurture empathy, respect and citizenship.

We’re a supportive school with a strong sense of community, committed to helping every child feel valued and achieve their best. If you’re passionate about teaching and making a meaningful difference to children’s lives, Rawmarsh Ashwood offers a warm, collaborative environment where you can grow professionally and be part of a positive and purposeful team.
