We are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work across the curriculum to support students with varying needs in mainstream lessons, or working with individual small groups of students, and will work flexibly as part of our inclusion team. The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a dedicated team of staff and relate to a wide range of staff and students within the Academy.
The successful applicant will put the needs of young people first, have a passion for learning, excellent interpersonal skills, and will be both ICT and emotionally literate.
We are proud that Outwood Academy City is rated Good with Outstanding leadership by Ofsted and we are delighted to be based in and serving the children of the steel city of Sheffield.
The Academy became part of the Outwood Family of Schools in 2014, when just 43% of students achieved five GCSEs at grade A*-C, including English and Maths. In 2018, this had increased to over 68% of students achieving English and Maths combined at grade 4 or above.
As part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust we offer our colleagues extensive CPD opportunities and are committed to the Outwood vision of putting students first, raising standards and transforming lives.
We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.
In addition to this success, we will actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all staff receiving a minimum of two hours’ CPD each week.
We also offer a generous employment package with a whole host of staff benefits, including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, plus a partnership with car leasing company, Synergy, with offers exclusively for Outwood colleagues.
If you share our vision, join our family.
