Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Contracted Weeks: 44.2 Weeks (Term Time Only). Permanent Contract.

West Kirby School and College caters for children and young people, aged 5-19 years, with a

range of complex special educational needs and disabilities and offers day and/or residential

provision. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic

Spectrum Condition; complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of

cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for

all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils.

Due to growth in pupil numbers, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our school.

To excel in this role, you will have proven experience of working in a classroom environment

and 1:1, preferably with pupils who have special educational needs including ASD, learning

difficulties and/or behavioural difficulties.

You will possess patience, energy and enthusiasm and be prepared to engage young people

with significant complex needs in sports, the creative arts, outdoor pursuits and life skills

activities.
