£17,305 - £18,609 per annum

Based on full time salary of £22,369 - £24,054

(plus an additional 1 week of pay if the appointee has 5 years or more continuous service with the Local Authority)

In May 2017 Shirebrook Academy joined ACET (Aston Community Education Trust) a forward thinking and rapidly developing multi-academy trust which further strengthens our capacity to improve opportunities for all our students and staff.

We are seeking to appoint ambitious an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant who will complement the professional work of Teachers, support the behaviour, learning and teaching of children and young people and be committed to safeguarding and supportive of the ethos of our school.

The successful candidate will:

  • under the direction of the teacher, plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals or groups, or short term for whole classes
  • monitor, assess, record and report on students’ progress, achievement and development
  • establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations 
  • support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs 
  • record progress and achievement systematically, and provide evidence of range and level of progress and attainment 
  • liaise with parents to support with students’ learning, and contribute to/lead meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback 
  • model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour 
  • have a willingness to by fully involved in the life of the academy 

 

*You will be based at Shirebrook Academy but the role may involve working at other academies within the trust.

Shirebrook Academy opened its doors to students in September 2010. The Academy is a forward thinking innovative organisation at the heart of the community.  We moved into purpose built, state of the art buildings in April 2013.  In May 2017 we joined ACET (Aston Community Education Trust), a growing and successful Multi Academy Trust, which will enable us to continue our development with the support of a larger organisation.
