Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a “Good” Academy in Redbridge to start in ASAP. This is a term time role only on 30 – 35 hours per week. The successful Teaching Assistant must be able to help and assist Secondary school students on a 1:1 basis as well as liaise well with staff. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the current curriculum. They must also have good numeracy and literacy skills.

In order to be considered for this role, the Teaching Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS
• Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
• NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
