Teaching Assistant

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications 

Contract Dates - 

If successful, the role will commence immediately and would be day to day supply  

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are GCSE English and Maths (A*-C or 9 -4) as a minimum. You must have relevant experience in an educational setting. A qualification such as Level 2 teaching assistant would be preferred but not essential.

The role 

The successful candidate should be a positive and passionate individual that is driven to make an impact on young children’s development. You will be expected to ensure that children are on task, and you must be able work productively alongside the classroom teacher. You may be asked to provide support for pupils who have additional needs. You must be able to confidently adapt to a welcoming atmosphere where every child matters and everyone counts.

Requirements 

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will need as a minimum: 

• Have experience of the national curriculum, phonics, and an educational setting.

• Can provide observation, assessment and be able to feedback to Class Teacher.

• Be able to adapt to different routines daily.

• Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.

• Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri.

• GCSE English and Maths (A*-C or 9 -4)

• Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. (Preferable but not essential)
