During school terms the hours of work for this part-time role will be 29 hours per week over 5 days. A full time role is for 37.5 hours per week. The expected work pattern will be as follows for the remainder of this academic year but may be adjusted from September 2020;

TAs are also required to attend all INSET days as set out in the school calendar.

The pro-rata annual salary for this part time role for a term time contract of 40 weeks (which includes PGS term times plus holiday pay) will be £10,478.67, paid pro-rata for the duration of the temporary contract. This pro-rata calculation is based at scale point 11 of the PGS salary scales which from 1st September 2019  is £17,615 for a full time, year round role.

PGS is considering plans for enhanced before school provision for our junior school pupils and therefore there would be the opportunity for the successful candidate to work additional hours in the mornings to support this extended day. This would offer a longer working pattern which commences at 7.15 am each day. These plans are still in development and will be discussed further at interview with shortlisted candidates. Please note it is not a requirement of the role that you are able to offer a start time of 7.15 am but we would like you to be aware of this additional opportunity.

Closing Date is noon 15 January 2020.

Interviews will be held on 23 January 2020.

PGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

PGS has its own, generous salary scale and seeks to attract the best staff possible.
