We are currently looking for an outstanding Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a school located in Bournville. This school caters for students with MLD who are 3 to 11 years of age; you will be supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of lessons. This school has been rated as ‘outstanding’ in its last ofsted inspection; you will be expected to uphold this level by ensuring that all students receive the education that they deserve. 

This role will begin as soon as possible and be on an ongoing basis. We are ideally looking to recruit an individual that has extensive experience of working with SEN students. You will be working alongside the class teacher to ensure that all students are on task and are supported throughout the day. 

The ideal candidate –

·         Level 2 TA qualification

·         Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

· Build rapport with the children

· In date DBS & on the Update Service   

What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront and add this to the Update Service.  At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
