Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Wroughton Infant Academies,
Salary: Scale D, points 5-6 : £24,790 - £25,183 per annum (£19,882.01- £20,197.20 actual salary).
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 34.5 hours, term-time + one week (39 weeks total).

About You:
The Wroughton Academies are looking for a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our Early Years team as a Teaching Assistant. You will bring compassion, patience, and a genuine love for the early years stage, recognising the importance of creating a warm and supportive environment where every child can flourish. You’ll be someone who thrives in a child-centred setting, ready to support learning through play, provide tailored assistance to pupils with SEND, and work collaboratively with teachers, families, and professionals. If you are caring, adaptable, and committed to helping young children grow in confidence and independence, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- Essential skills: Good reading, writing, and maths skills (GCSE level or equivalent).
- Training or experience: Completion of a teaching assistant induction programme or relevant experience.
- EYFS experience: Previous work supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Teamwork: Able to work well with others, understanding your role in the classroom and how to support the teacher effectively.
