We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to be a Teaching Assistant at Hillocks Primary Academy.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with special educational, disabilities and medical needs. The successful candidate will have experience of enabling and supporting pupils with SEND with their personal, social development and academic progress from their individual starting points. Further responsibilities will include administrative tasks to support children and teaching staff.

Essential

  • Has a commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students and providing equality of opportunity
  • Has educational achievement sufficient to support clear reporting and presentation skills
  • An excellent caring and empathetic skills towards pupils
  •  Have a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification or if unqualified, willingness to complete the qualification.


Desirable

  • Experience in early years would be beneficial to the role, incusing EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
