On 1st October 2018 Braeburn Primary and Nursery Academy academised through a sponsored route, Ebor Academy Trust’s proven school improvement model is being successfully implemented and the school is now looking to add to the existing team. As such we are looking for three Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join us. 


One position will be 30 hours per week, term time only, permanent, working in our Inclusion Team supporting the needs of children on the SEN register. Supporting children inside and outside the classroom, you will provide high quality targeted interventions, adapting support according to needs. One position will be maternity cover - 15 hours per week, class based. One position will be maternity cover - 30 hours per week, class based.


As a Teaching Assistant, you will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils, whilst implementing clear boundaries and routines. Working with the class teacher to support the children, small groups and using behaviour management in all areas around school, you will be passionate about teaching and learning, and will believe in developing the true potential of all our children.


In addition, the postholder will work more generally in the class, under the direction of the teacher, working with individuals or small group to enable them to access learning. In addition to experience of working with children with special needs.


We are looking for people with experience of working with children in a supportive capacity who have a good knowledge of child development and strategies which promote positive behaviour and effective attitudes to learning. You will take appropriate action to meet pupil’s needs as they arise and understand the factors that impact upon children's emotional needs and mental health.
