 Sonning Common Primary School

Thinking of training to be a teacher?

Be paid to gain classroom experience!

Our teaching assistant positions involve working with small groups of children to support their phonics, literacy and Maths learning. Roles may involve working on a 1:1 basis with children who have a range of needs. The positions are likely to be in KS2.

You will also help provide cover over lunchtimes throughout the school.

Must be confident and competent in Maths and English and educated to at least GSCE standard or equivalent in these subjects.

Our current vacancies are for 5 days per week, 9.00am – 3.15pm or

9.00am – 1.15pm, term time only. Additional hours at Breakfast or After School Club available most days if desired.

Experience of working with children in a similar role desirable but not essential. Understanding of children with autistic spectrum disorders would be an advantage.

For the right candidate, we would support your application for School-Centred Initial Teacher Training for September 2018. This training could be salaried.

Closing date for applications Monday 3rd July

Interviews will be held on Thursday 6th July

Visits to the school welcome and encouraged.
