We are seeking to expand our highly successful Teaching Assistant team and are looking for additional colleagues to join our College. You must be committed to supporting young people to achieve their potential and remove their barriers to learning. Our Teaching Assistant team provides outstanding support for young people and we are looking for energetic and focused people with a commitment to work with students in the College to support their academic progress and emotional well-being.
The main duties include;
Support the students’ learning needs and activities of all students and attend to any additional learning needs. Support trained staff to implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
Support students ensuring their safety and access to learning
Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
Encourage students to act independently as appropriate
