Salisbury Road Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated, and hard-working Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1. The Teaching Assistant will be a good team player, have a flexible approach and have the ability to develop positive behaviour strategies with children.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be committed to supporting the learning of pupils and helping pupils surpass their expectations. Salisbury Road Primary are seeking candidates that will go the extra mile for our children and the community.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a primary school with a working knowledge of KS1
  • Recent experience delivering RWInc sessions (or similar phonics scheme)
  • Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C or above and be able to illustrate good literacy and numeracy skills
  • NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable

About the School

Salisbury Road is two form entry primary school that serves the locality of St Judes, near the city centre. We are situated in a large, three-storey, Victorian building in the heart of the community, and work closely with many local partners. We pride ourselves on being a warm and friendly school and aim to enhance and inspire the lives of not only the children that attend our school but their families and wider community.
