Job overview

The Governors of St Hilda’s wish to appoint a qualified and dedicated Teaching Assistant.

At St Hilda’s, we are committed to ensuring our pupil premium students achieve their very best. We believe intervening with achievement is one of the most valuable things we can do to support our students and, combined with our tough love approach, strive to ensure our education provision is a route out of poverty.

With this in mind, we are looking to appoint an additional teaching assistant who will focus on supporting our pupil premium students in the classroom.

In 2021, Ofsted judged the school to still be Good and in 2017 SIAMS (church schools’ inspection) rated the school Outstanding. In 2019 SIAMS Keeping on Track report highlighted ‘The dynamic Christian leadership and vision of the headteacher directs and inspires school improvement and ensures that the school’s distinctiveness and ethos are of the highest priority.’ We are unashamedly a Christian school.

As the successful candidate, you would be joining a very close-knit, highly supportive family. We have made some significant changes; becoming co-educational, changing our vision and values, but we know that we can improve further with the right people.
