At Witton Park, our guiding principles are simple yet powerful:

• Children come first and are at the heart of all we do

• Positive relationships underpin all of our work

• High expectations and no barriers – everybody can achieve.

The Hub @ Witton is a curriculum provision which has been recently established for students who need support with SEMH, Speech language and communication needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) run by Witton Park Academy. We will welcome a new class of students in December and are looking to grow our team to support them.

As a Teaching Assistant within The Hub you will help create exceptional learning environments and help to support the delivery of an exciting curriculum in a truly therapeutic setting. This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for someone with SEMH/ASD experience and a passion for person centred learning and therapeutic approaches, to be involved in a new provision.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support the needs of pupils as individuals or in small groups throughout the day.

You will have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff is important. Opportunities for training are available and all staff are encouraged to take up these opportunities.

For the successful candidate, we can offer:

• The opportunity to work with highly experienced, devoted colleagues and students who value the experiences we provide, within a dynamic, creative, therapeutic environment.

• A bespoke package of support and CPD to enable you to grow and develop into who you are aspiring to be - we would train the appointed person in supporting children with the needs identified.

• A caring, positive and inclusive environment.

• Well trained, professional and supportive school leadership.

• Freedom to innovate and an active role in contributing to the shared vision of the school.

If you are interested in joining our friendly and forward-thinking team, and you have the skills and qualities required, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Please take the time to view our website at https://witton.atctrust.org.uk/ prior to applying.

We welcome any requests from candidates wishing to visit the Academy. Please contact Michael Wain Assistant Headteacher at:mwain@wittonpark.org.uk if you would like this opportunity.

Closing date: 09:00am 17th May 2024

Interviews: w.c 20th May 2024.

Welcome to Witton Park Academy

Innovating… Engaging… Caring… Learning… Succeeding Together.
With pride and passion we unite our school and our local community, and lead the drive to be ‘always learning’.

We are extremely proud of our school; the achievements of our pupils, the expertise and dedication of our staff, our outstanding facilities and our reputation as a centre of excellence.

Our ultra-modern school buildings allow our pupils to flourish in facilities for learning that truly do enable us to trail blaze innovative learning – from the bright and attractive classrooms, to the fully equipped outside play areas, the facilities allow our pupils to fully explore their talents and to shine in those areas that they most enjoy.

A building, however, is only as good as the people working within; we believe we have some of the best students and teachers in the world.  Staff and pupils benefit from the investment we place on their development: as well as playing a key part in supporting other schools through the Achievement through Collaboration Trust, we have a variety of external partners from Google, The Schools, Students and Teacher Network and with University College London. Partnerships like these create opportunities for all members of our team.

We understand how important choosing the right school is and so, on behalf of our pupils and staff, we warmly invite you to visit our school and experience for yourself the quality of education we offer.
