Start date: 05 September 2023

Reports to: Headmistress

Working hours: 8am to 5pm full time (40 hours per week),

Contract: Permanent, term time only – 35 weeks

Location:  Falcons School for Girls, Putney

Falcons School for Girls is currently looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate should understand school protocols, and willing to make a full contribution to school life.

The Role

This role requires an exceptional teaching assistant who is able to teach young children in an engaging way. S/he must have a good level of experience of teaching and working in a school setting. S/he will be required to support and work closely with the class/subject teachers to provide a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment for the pupils. An important part of this role is to also accompany the pupils on the school bus morning and evening. An excellent educational understanding of key issues and organisational abilities, efficiency, humour and energy are requirements of the position.

S/he should have a good working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding and undertake the appropriate annual training. S/he is expected to liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead on related and highly confidential matters. S/he must at all times be friendly, approachable, discrete and supportive. 

The role requires excellent communication skills and a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
