The Avenue Primary School and Children’s Centre is looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its friendly team and provide support to pupils in its Resource Base.
Working Hours: Part Time (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, term-time only). Contract: Fixed term (until 31st August 2024). Salary: £11.98 per hour (£23,114 pro rata per annum).
We are a vibrant co-educational, non-denominational primary school, educating children between the ages of 3 and 11. Located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, Wiltshire, our staff are dedicated to creating a safe and exciting place for children to thrive and learn. As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support, so SEND experience would be advantageous. You will work with our dedicated Resource Base team to support pupils in their learning and will make a real difference to their school lives.
We and are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children and supporting them in their development;
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
- Has a positive and flexible attitude;
- Has a current First Aid or is prepared to undertake training;
- Has experience working with children with SEND (advantageous).
