About the role:  Strood Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will assist in the support and inclusion of SEN and EAL pupils within the school.  Working within a class, our successful candidates will join a well-established team of Teaching Assistants who provide appropriate one-to-one support for an individual pupil, or a small group of pupils within class of any ability and in any curriculum area.  Whilst we would require our successful candidate to work across the curriculum but a flair or particular interest in languages would be beneficial.  This role is ideal for graduates across any subject areas who are keen to commence Teacher Training from September 2018/2019 as it provides first-hand exposure and experience, great for your UCAS application and training course.   

The working basis of this role is 28 hours per week during Term Time and an additional week of inset.  The actual salary, dependent on experience, is between £10,228 - £12,776 which is pro rated down from £15,823 - £19,939.  Please consult the Job Description and Selection Criteria by clicking here for a detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities of this role.
