At Ormiston Forge Academy, we are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA1 or TA2, depending on qualifications and experience) to join our Success for Learning team. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or early in your support staff career, we offer a role with purpose, professional development, and the chance to become a valued member of our academy community.

As a Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional support, both in the classroom and within our Success Centre. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their potential by:

  • Supporting teaching and learning for individuals or small groups
  • Assisting with classroom delivery and interventions
  • Monitoring student progress and behaviour
  • Supporting reintegration and behaviour plans
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families


Your work will be guided by the SENCO and Success Centre Leaders and will be delivered across a variety of settings, including mainstream classes, withdrawal sessions, and learning hubs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade A to C or Grade 4 or above passes in maths and English.
  • Must be qualified to Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience of classroom support to students is desirable.
