Teaching Assistant (SEN)

RNIB Sunshine House School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to support the education and care of a 6 year old boy who is blind and autistic and has significant communication and learning difficulties.

The applicant should have experience in working with special needs learners and knowledge of vision impairment and autism would also be desirable.

The school is a specialist school for blind and partially sighted children with additional needs and has a wide range of specialist resources. It works in alliance with The Eden Academy, benefitting from the academy’s extensive expertise in special educational needs and working as part of a family of schools delivering exceptional educational and therapeutic standards. It is currently at an exciting stage in its development.
