Teaching Assistant SEN

We are a primary special school catering for pupils from across the Wakefield District who have severe and profound learning difficulties. Many pupils have additional needs including Autism, VI, HI, physical disability and medical needs.

 The School operates on two sites, Stanley and Castleford. We have permanent and temporary posts available at both of our sites, but the successful candidate may be required to work on either site in the future and must be willing and able to do so.

 The Governors are seeking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant as soon as possible to work in this very successful school supporting the educational, physical, social and emotional development of our pupils.

 If you are committed to working with pupils who have severe and complex learning needs, are willing to undertake appropriate training and are a strong team member then we would like to hear from you.

The successful candidates will be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team of dedicated staff.

 The successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosure Application Form and to provide criminal conviction information.
