Hexthorpe Primary has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant (SEN Support initially in EYFS) to join their team to help children to overcome barriers to learning so that they can achieve their full potential. 

Our ideal candidate will aid children to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and independently by: 

  • Working with individual children, identifying the current barriers to learning, adjusting learning activities and monitoring progress towards set targets. 
  • Providing bespoke provision for those with specific needs. 
  • Establishing a positive, professional relationship with children, colleagues and families. 

We are looking for individuals who have:  

  • Recent and relevant experience working in a primary setting (preferably EYFS), and of working with children with specific needs or challenging behaviour. 
  • The ability to utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals. 
  • The drive to learn and develop to adapt and improve how things are done. 
  • A commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.
