Daylesford Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT) is an alternative provision where we provide innovative solutions for a number of students for whom mainstream education is simply not working (for a range of reasons). In our short lifetime thus far we have grown considerably and continue to expand as our provision evolves.
As we have developed we have continued to recruit committed, passionate and talented staff who ensure a full range of interventions to help change the outcomes of and life chances for our students for the better.
The successful candidate must have:
Level 1 Teaching Assistant Qualification AND GCSE Maths & English Qualifications
School experience and experience of working with pupils who have challenging behaviour
A clear, consistent and relational approach to working with high-tariff and vulnerable students
A passion for pupil progress
High expectations and skill in raising standards (behaviour, attendance, academic progress)
A vision for obtaining the best outcomes for our students.

Daylesford Academy is a small 35 alternative provision who offer a nurturing approach to support vulnerable pupils who cannot manage in a mainstream setting through their educational journey. In particular those who have special educational needs including:
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Mental health difficulties
- ADHD (diagnosed and undiagnosed)
- ASD (diagnosed and undiagnosed)
- General learning difficulties
- Dyslexia (diagnosed and undiagnosed)
- Drugs and alcohol issues
- Experience of domestic violence
- Low school engagement and attendance
We aim to provide the best quality education by delivering well prepared and stimulating lessons that will engage “hard to reach pupils”.
