Salary: starting Grade 13, point 6

Our team at St Nicholas is seeking a conscientious, passionate teaching assistant who can support pupils in Year R & Key Stage 1. If you are keen to work with children in Years R, 1 or 2, then this is the job for you. A qualification, and/or a willingness to engage in training, in early years, autism and social well-being would be very beneficial. Key responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the safeguarding of pupils in your care and must follow the school’s safeguarding policy / procedure.
• Take instruction from the class teacher, Head and SENCO.
• Track progress of pupils in your care and feedback appropriately to parents/carers of pupils.
• Ensure that the pupils in your care are working towards their targets on their educational health care plans or individual pupil plans.
• Ensure that pupils are making good progress and enjoy their learning in line with the ethos of our Thrive values.
