Cobourg is a vibrant, inclusive school community in the heart of Southwark. Set in a  fantastic location by Burgess Park (the largest park in Southwark), on the edge of Zone 1 and within easy striking distance of Central London’s museums and galleries.

Our Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and versatile TA  to work with our EYFS and KS1 children. You will have proven ability in delivering phonics programmes successfully to young children (including Little Wandle) in a similar setting, and have evidence of delivering Reception baseline and inputting data.

We are looking for a good team player who has the ability to support a class of children and their teacher, by undertaking structured and agreed learning activities within the current National Curriculum framework. This job may involve working with the whole class or groups of children or 1:1.

Candidates will have determination and commitment to succeed in delivering exciting and creative learning experiences for children, while being a dedicated member of this supportive team.

A flexible approach, a high standard of professionalism together with excellent numeracy, literacy, IT and oral communication skills (tested at interview) are all essential qualities needed to work here at Cobourg.

If you have:

  • Experience of working with KS1 and/or EYFS children
  • The passion and motivation to help deliver outstanding phonics provision to our children
  • Reception baseline and data inputting skills
  • A commitment to raising standards
